Host Chris and co-hosts Franco and Jonathan run one-minute reviews, with Chris discussing Netflix’s Below (set in a failing Canadian fishing village harvesting glacial ice for vodka as an iceberg and sea-creature attacks trigger illness and compulsive water drinking), the Henry Cavill-less season of The Witcher, Solar Opposites season five, Apple TV+’s Dark Matter, and finishing the Lanterns finale, praising Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre and its detective/space-cop angle while noting unnecessary nudity. Jonathan reviews the new Street Fighter movie as a visually game-accurate, ’90s-vibe action comedy with anime-style flashbacks, Jason Momoa as Blanka, many one-liners, and a franchise-bait ending. They cover Paramount Skydance’s Warner Bros. Discovery acquisition, combined $87B debt, and a 30-films-per-year requirement, plus Netflix layoffs and executive departures. Other news includes a Nolan Odyssey 4K release, a Star Wars home-video-format Kickstarter, Richard Riehle’s death, a long physical-media release list, a review of The Meg (rated ~70–75), and picking 8-Bit Christmas for next episode.
