Rubber

Chris, Franco, and Jonathan share one-minute reviews, discussing Ted Lasso’s season finale and lack of cohesive direction, Solar Opposites’ Season 4 voice change for Corvo and removal of Justin Roiland’s credit, Dark Matter’s alternate-reality premise, and Chris’s theater experience with Digger, a unique Tom Cruise film about an oil tycoon facing an environmental crisis with John Goodman as the President; they note its weak box office and possible cult future. Jonathan reviews DreamWorks’ Forgotten Island, praising its experimental, sensory-overload animation and Filipino mythology influences. In news, they cover the completed Paramount–Warner Bros. merger (SkyDance) and expected layoffs, Coyote vs. Acme’s upcoming 4K/Blu-ray release, Ben Affleck’s vague AI use on Netflix’s Animals, and concerns about shrinking physical game ownership. They list upcoming 4K/Blu-ray releases, then review the 2010 absurdist horror-comedy Rubber, scoring it 65/75/80, and select The Meg as the next film.
